They do have a lot of staff. Not sure if they have enough to watch every game but they certainly cover a lot of games. Saw a lot of them all over the grand park complex. They don't have to highlight a player from every game they watch.

      But they do highlight clusters.

How many kids did the Revs discard per age group?

The region should take a stand and discard the Revs academy. When FC Boston Bolts Academy teams become fully funded in 2018/2019, the Revs will be in serious trouble. Seacoast have already made their U17 and U19 teams free. Beginning of the end for that laughable organization.

Even when that happens the Revs will always have players - location for some, free, being an MLS club will always draw some talent. Problem is USSF would never in a million years do anything against the Revs - not only because they're an MLS club (and USSF desperately needs all MLS clubs in the system supporting it) but also because the Revs do fine. They're not great, but they're not consistently in the basement either. Yes USSF relegates teams but it rarely happens and there has to be a long term loss record. USSF can't even easily tell MLS clubs - who are spending significant amounts of money with little benefit - how to run their programs.. The system collapses without MLS support

The Revs don't want to spend a dime more than necessary to fund DA nor do they even care about the success or failure of the program. They can't profit off players and even if they have a home grown now and then, they can just as easily pick up other fresh new talent for pennies from other clubs.

I agree, they are not committed. The pro side is a joke. A Crayola crest, an NFL stadium, misfit assembled players from obscure Euro Leagues and an ownership group that doesn't care. The youth side is even worse. Nobody over there at Gillette is fully devoted to soccer, it's pretty evident.

Do NOT trust the academy coaches as far as you can throw them. Your son may be golden today, but tomorrow he may be invisible.

That's because no one at the top is devoted to soccer. Kraft bought it as an investment, and in his mind not spending any money is the best way to turn a profit. An added bonus is the stadium gets used some in the off season, which is most of the year.

Don't throw the "c" word out so generously. They're not soccer coaches, they're low level stand ins for a joke of a so called MLS academy.

God please, if your son has any semblance of talent, get him off the Revs as fast as you can!!! I implore you here on TS, you will regret it.

I have very little confidence that this would ever happen.

FC Boston Bolts have already made the official declaration to US Soccer and the USSDA that they plan to make only 2 teams (U16/U17& U18/U19) fully funded beginning calendar 2018/2019 USSDA season. The NE Rev-illusion better pay attention. Scales ,Burns you listening bros??

Seacoast is free for those ages. Do I need to say more?
