Should a coach be called up and coming with a 3-12-2 record, 295 RPI and 9th out of 10 in the Patriot division?

For NE programs, Bucknell, Brown and Lehigh are the better run programs. Kelly Cook at Bucknell is a young and talented coach while Coach Eric Lambinus at Lehigh is one of the more senior and well rounded coaches in the league.
On the opposite end is Holy Cross who just hired a 27 year old rookie coach, Casey Brown, who has taken an up and coming program and totally destroyed it with her controlling, dictatorial, and bullying style. Yelling, intimidating players, swearing, throwing stuff and dividing the team against itself is the result after only 1 season.
Other programs have had similar issues but were quick to fire and replace with a competent coach but that's not the expectation at HoCro.
If you're considering playing for a woman's soccer program in the NE, research the coach and style first and foremost.
Are we still talking about Holy Cross?
Going all the way back to 2004, they have never had more than 2 wins in conference. Never!

It sounds like the OP's daughter didn't mesh with the new coach and either was cut or rarely played...welcome to D1 soccer. If she wasn't good to enough to earn playing time at a lower level D1 like HC and playing is more important than a good education, there are a lot of D3 schools in the are where she might be able to see the field.

Holy Cross Womans Soccer is doomed
Originally posted by Unregistered View PostBrown I thought was supposed to be an up and coming coach. Shame, they are building a great indoor facility and things were really looking up for holy cross. Good thing they fired their last coach and brought her in.
Beware of that program
As a parent of a returning player, I can attest to the fact that Brown is a tyrannical bully she doesn't know how to coach. She stays with her "go to" players regardless of results, randomly moves players into any position and sticks to a 4:3:4 formation regardless of who's on the field or what the other team is doing to dominate the game.
If you are considering Holy Cross for your daughter, go anywhere else. We're actively looking even at D2 and D3 programs rather than stay with this immature, angry and disrespectful person who doesn't even deserve to be called a coach.
