Coaches want nothing to do with living in Hickory, NC so that school would be open to taking anyone with any sort of soccer background. Also, you have to be on drugs to think anyplace in North Carolina is as nice as Boca Raton.

All depends on personal preferences. Lots of people would never live in FL, some people like more urban areas, others more rural. The cost of living is also much lower where she's going than Boca.

        WRONG...
D2 coaches are not paid that well. Cost of living in Banner Elk, NC is 100% cheaper than living in Boca Raton. She coached there before and at another school in NC. it is a perfect for her to return. She has ZERO PRESSURE
The results the last few years:
        2018 - 3-13
        2017 - 5-12-3
        2016 - 7-12

I think she's even from NC, so there's that. Smaller town, slower pace, cheaper living costs, not as oppressively hot (an actual change of seasons), foothills and access to the mountains (vs here where a highway interstate is considered the highest point above sea level).

Move and not be surrounded by people like you? Who could give that up? Such a sweet hometown feel in Boca. Yeah, definitely must be on drugs.

Banner Elk, NC or Boca Raton......really, you would go with Banner Elk? Okay, we all have choices. Either way she didn't do much for Lynn, and it doesn't say much for the AD to continue on with below average people.

The job was never open or posted because it would have become work for the athletic department to have to interview people so close to the season. They will go with the former assistant for now and make changes at the end of the season...or one would think..

Did you remember yet that this is Lynn University? Total student population that is smaller than most high schools. It. Doesn't. Matter.

You are correct. It's D2 soccer outside a few top programs much of it is pretty low level soccer. It's also low level academics. Better players and students will never be interested in such a program unless it becomes a top program again. To do that you need a top coach and support from the school (bigger salary). Many schools like Lynn just can't justify the $ for non revenue sports.

I didn't know that Lynn University had anything other than a golf team or men's soccer team.

Most outside of FL have never heard of the school
