Has anyone done US Soccer id2 Program?

Curious if anyone has gone through the process of having their coach fill out a Player Recommendation for US Soccer id2 Program. Did a recruiter actually respond? Was it worthwhile? They are currently recruiting 2005/2006 boys and girls. There is some fall training and December training planned.

My daughters club nominated five players. Only one was actually chosen to go.

Yes, usually club recommends players to the initial local tryout camp. They then attend that and if they catch the eye of the scouts are recommended to move further into the program.
