FSA Management Needs their heads examined

Forecast in Farmington this evening called for a 100% chance of storms this evening.

FSA made the decision to play all High School summer league games. There was visible lightning during the 5pm games so they were eventually stopped and players were sent home. Second round of games were started at 6:30p in driving rain with thunder all around the valley. Games were eventually called after the 4th lightning strike and parents screaming for their kids to get off the field. Those game should never have been allowed to start. Everyone in that park has radar on their phones and knew that there was severe weather all around the complex.

These games are meaningless the facility management is putting their schedule/agenda ahead of the safety of the players.

Irresponsible and completely unacceptable on every level.

Typical FSA. It's a badge of honor for them to get their games in. Same deal with playing indoor games during tough winter weather.

If a kid gets struck by lightning out there, you can plan on the place being re-named because they'd own it.

All club bashing aside, it was a very foolish decision for them to allow play this evening

Safety is the responsibility of the 1) Coaches, 2) Referees. and Parents first and foremost.
All should be taken out and flogged.

Fsa parents brag about the indoor full field. Yet they are forced to play outside in a lightning storm????

FSA is very lucky nobody got struck by lightning or has any issues. The facility would be gone is the flash of an lightning bolt.

When we were kids, we didn't stop playing because of some heavy rain and an electrical storm. You people are such snowflakes.

You sir are a complete idiot.

Every league ran into and cancelled games. you don't play in thunderstorms under any situation. EVER!

Every certified Ref also knows the protocols around severe weather.

It's common sense. I'm embarrassed for everyone involved with those decisions.

FSA clearly saw nothing wrong with it as seen in the last few posts.
Their management style is going to drive them right into the ground. Like a lightening strike.

Yes it would be a real shame to have to reschedule a few games. What an inconvenience!

Agree with #10 poster. A bunch of freaking snowflakes. How did you all make it to parenthood? Did you grow up in a plastic bubble? Bunch of thin skinned helicopter parents. Give your kids a trophy for making it home during a rain storm!
