If you look at it purely as good extra training, nothing more, you won't be disappointed. But that's it.

So it’s a bunch of kids from different clubs who come together for the summer to do extra training while their clubs are off?

JC runs the show and keeps a tight ship. training is intense, but also depends on what kids they can attract (so the ones closest to metro centers are usually best). DA frowns on participation but many clubs look other way. they invite the best kids from their regions to summer camps, invitational tournaments (e.g. GPS this weekend - check their twitter feed to see all their teams in teh finals and winning groups), and overseas trips (Sweden/Gothia Cup, England).

Originally posted by Unregistered View PostThat is VERY true; many mediocre players. Good training; but most of the kids JC promotes are absolutely nothing special. There are cheaper ways to train.

There's always cheaper ways to train, including your kid working on their own in the yard. But there's much to be gained training with other players under a coach. If you can find a good trainer on your own and split the costs with a few other families that is another way, but that takes coordination and commitment. We tried it once and half the time families would crap out of sessions at the last minute and then not expect to have to pay their share.
