The problem is the coaches who are criminal at best and the lunatic parents. Florida’s problem is it’s culture. Third world organizations ripping parents and kids off.
Its disappointing to hear that all our soccer problems are related to Florida culture as that is not going to be an easy fix. I guess the only solution is to move to any other state and all our soccer issues will be fixed.

[QUOTE=Unregistered;2526533]Do you think these new leagues will erode the teams playing in local leagues?
Florida Premiership will be launching a new league for the 2019/2020 season called R.E.D. (Regional Elite Development League)
*** This is a US Club Soccer sanctioned league and all teams participating must carry US Club Soccer passes.***
RED (Regional Elite Development)
•U9-10 Year Round Schedule
•U9 & U10 girls and boys – you may enter more than one team in each age group
•Sep–Mar, RED league games
•2 jamborees (jamboree: one day 2 games to play teams from out of region)
RED U13-19 & U11-12
•U13-U19
•U11-U12
Your club may apply for the 2019-2020 RED League through the link below.
You do not have to have your Got Soccer Roster’s complete before registering.

Not another league please!!!
Another league really? This is just awful for the sport. The entire state of Florida just needs to have four districts with four divisions in each. Then let local teams move upward or downward via promotion and relegation.
Please get rid of DA, ECNL, NPL, FPL, REC, and all the other leagues. Divisions three and four will allow teams to simply play locally and not have to travel more than 30 minutes to a game. Only in the top division one league would teams need to travel. And that travel could be restricted to just four or five counties until you got to playoff type situation.
Travel is killing US soccer. Please less leagues and less travel. More development.

I think it’s a good thing. Clearly, FYSA and US Club are setting up promotion/relegation paths. Been like this in other states for year with their YSA leagues. Florida is behind the times.

Promotion | Releg Good
Promotion and Relegation in the leagues is a good thing. But we need to do it under one banner. We need US CLUB, DA, FYSA to all merge. There can be only one. On the other hand a little bit of competition is good. Monopolies are bad. So maybe TWO competing systems works better for parents. But having so many leagues is crazy. There needs to be some consolidation.
