If they haven't asked, your kid is not wanted

What club are you referring to. Last post is a little rough but true. If you did not get a "Ticket" then you were not selected yet to a team and will probably have to show up Tuesday to the tryout. Assuming you are in central florida that is.

How long you have to commit is directly proportional to how good you are. The greater the ability, the longer you can delay giving an answer.

But if no one has offered you then there is nothing to sign anyways. You still might get selected in the end but the top players have already been contacted.

Now a large revenue making club might just offer everyone who shows up to one team or another. Especially at the younger ages.

Some clubs have multi tryouts and do not make contact to who made the team till after all the tryouts are done. If your child did not make one club, don't be upset. They most likely be on the bench for the vast majority of the time. Your kid would have more fun playing for a team less in demand and with more playing time be it coming off the bench with quality time or being a starter.

If you have to ask this question your club has very poor communication. Red flag.

I don't answer the phone after tryouts. We let the coach leave a message and then call them back after a day or two. When we call them back we say that we need a couple of days to discuss it. That gives us at least 4 days before committing

Clubs pressure a quick decision because if you're not taking the spot they need to move down the list. They generally will give more leeway to players they really want. Bubble players can lose out if they wait too long

If nobody has talked to you about getting a spot after the first night, you need to go to another club. Do not wait on the club. You may miss out on getting on any team.

if you have a daughter then have her tryout out for any ECNL team. They are taking everyone!

                              72 hours for ECNL.
I've seen that extended / waived for kids that the team really wants.
