Clearly you don't know 15 and 16 year-old boys. Yes, they lack maturity. As they mature, it reflects in their play, their decisions (on and off the field), and their ability to translate capability and ability onto the pitch. Once they hit 17 and 18, their maturity in the sport does increase, but even then, they can still lack maturity. Maybe the current 18s as a unit were more mature than the current 16s. The talent is definitely there on the 16s -- sometimes the right leader can bring that out in his players. Sometimes the right leader can contain that maturity through structure, organization, no B.S. mentality, and quite frankly a little fear. That is what I saw in JN regarding the 16s. He had them organized and he did not allow immaturity from them. Thus, they performed at a greater rate than they currently do. Not every coach can do that.

This post is 100% accurate. Just like a marine sargent knows how to lead a group of young men, JN knows how to command discipline and focus from 15-16 year olds in order to teach them collective and individual tactics.

Orlando city made a poor decision letting sc coach. It hurt the 16s. It will hopefully not affect their future.
