How many have gotten looks while at the academy is a better question. That would be what, 10-20 over the last few years? Sorry to burst your bubble, but Bayern's youth academy isn't Bolsts DA or the Revs.

First of all, GPS has 80,000 players? Holy $#!+

This page makes it sound like the Bayern partnership is about GPS coaches getting free trips to Germany and a few kids getting to watch the FCB youth academies train.

Couple of token looks. That's awesome. Get back to us when one sticks.

          Your point is what?

Before you make GPS dance, why don't you tell us what standard you are using to set how many US players should get meaningful looks from European Powerhouse clubs. Then filter that standard down to MA and further down to one club. With that number established we can determine if GPS is or isn't performing. until you do that the fact remains that GPS is getting players looks with an internationally recognized tier 1 club. MA clubs are getting kids looks with the Revs, who are known as the "least ambitious" club in a league ranked below Turkey. As for the girls side, well The Breakers is a career path that pays less than starbucks.

I have great respect for all, but will defend against hate, especially unsubstantiated hate wherever possible.

Can you explain to me how the process would work for an American born player if Bayern wanted to bring them in? Is it even possible? We should probably start with the viability of a US citizen moving to Germany to play for a soccer club before we talk about "looks."

Yep, this is where the whole Bayern Munich pathway breaks down. Unless the kid has an EU passport, he won't be able to join the club until 18. From the time he's identified at U12/13 until 18 years old, he'll get what, a couple of weeks a year of training with the Bayern Munich youth squads during the year. By age 15, he'll no longer be getting looks, as those Bayern kids will have left him in the dust.

Is there anyone currently on Bayern's radar?

There are a handfull of kids that have traveled to Germany to watch trainings and participate in informal games. There isn't anyone that has gone more than once.

Outsiders looking in with no idea what you are talking about. The pathway is legitimate.

So playing with American players will leave one "in the dust" compared to playing with European players. Agreed. That only makes the case for GPS. Some is better than none

By some you mean 4 days once in their life for .00001% of the players at GPS.

                          Yup. Opportunity of a lifetime.
As you already acknowledged American development is sub par. As your stats show Bayern affiliation is exclusive. Some of us have high aspirations. Totally understand if you like to set more easily achieved goals for your family.

Name a single GPS kid who is getting looks from Bayern. It is like Bolts/Roma. Pleaaase.

MPS is fading in Newton. Valeo is the place for Newton players to get great training. Reason that North and South have good teams .

Don't have to. Just go to website. Names, Pictures, videos. Feel free to address these players one by one and knock them down. "My club is better than your club. Nanny Nanny boo boo.".

If you were comfortable with your choice, you wouldn't feel need to bash other clubs. At no point will I bash your choices, but since I have absolutely nothing else to do, I find it fun to respond to the hypocrisy of your arguments against GPS. Which essentially go like this:

Revs are way more exclusive than GPS, but GPS affiliation with Bayern is too exclusive therefore I'm striving for a place in the muddled middle that is slightly higher than but completely indistinguishable from and irrelevant to the true top tier.
