New to HS Soccer. Can someone explain to me how the whole division/league thing works in Mid-Wach league?

I can see Mid-Wach Division A - B. How do they determine who is in CMass D1 - ??

Well I will post a few thoughts on the Metro west teams since no posting.

These are in no particular order. A few notes about teams I know.

Top 3

Algonquin - Lost top 2 scorers who accounted for 85-90% of scoring. GK will be Small, some defenders suspect, MM will be top player. They will compete on athletic abilty and a few skilled players

GD

4-8 teams

Westborough - Solid GK. Lost majority of best players. Return many role players but really no leader

Saint John's
Shepherd Hill
Hudson - Will return a core of will be seniors. Not sure if GK was senior last year but if wasn't team could make a run.

Worcester South

9-13 Teams

Nashoba
Shrewsbury -Lost 10 of 11 starters and 90% of bench. JV team had a few above average freshmen on it last year that play NEFC

Doherty
Marlborough - Probably a year away. I believe they may be young this year. No GK could hurt team and best kid from Marlborough is a DAP player

all of Midland A and B are Division one teams. That site is wrong thou some of those teams have been moved around leagues or left Central Mass

For Soccer, its all in the amount of Boys or Girls in your district. The more students the "better" your school should be as there is a bigger "pool" to choose from. Sutton has debunked that for the past 4 years winning a bunch of games against Div 1 teams and they are Div 4. (but not by much).

I believe the girls program could also actually be in a totally different divisions than the boys as well. May not matter much with the larger communities, but in smaller towns it could make a difference.

Groton-Dunstable will be a solid squad. They lost best player in MS but return 3 solid players in MW, GD,and DT. Defenders and GK will be down fall but scoring should carry them. I could see them winning league and making finals.

There have only been 3 D1 players come from GD in the past 5-10 years, one a GK. They were much heralded, and played for top clubs. What club does he play for?

He plays for the u16 Fc Stars team. They team are going to Nationals for their age group
