Who doesn't cheat? I had like a grand on a couple of the games. LFC was going to mop this m'fer up.

Might have to "talk" with that little phoney Irish accent president of theirs about covering my losses.

I expect there to be public tar & feathering at the board meeting Wednesday night. Who's with me? You will all be there, right? #keyboardcommandos
I just can NOT believe that this current administration would strip these kids from such a memorable weekend. They worked so hard, won their games and afterwards were told they were forfeits and did NOT count. These children were absolutely heartbroken!

Lakeland teams were disqualified in virtually every division for having kids that were too old. Lakeland's excuse is that they misunderstood what the U designation meant. First, that is a pathetic excuse. You have a paid registrar. The U designation has been around for decades. Second, Judge Cup did NOT use any U designations for registration, so it is just totally BS. Judges Cup was done by year. One division was "2005/2006", and LFC had players in that division born in 2004. That is not imcompetence, that is cheating.

Some LFC teams had players taking shots on goal from the mid-line. The players were way too big for the fields they were playing on. There is a reason the field size changes with each age group.

The Lakeland FC Registrar is not a paid position. It is an appointed Board Member position. All Board Member positions are either appointed or elected VOLUNTEER positions. The club administrator is a paid position. The DOC's are paid positions. The AGM(annual general meeting) is in March. There are elections for Board member positions at the AGM. This year's election includes the President's position currently held by DC. The club, after having several years in a row of documented improvement on both the REC side and the Comp side, has now declined sharply during the past two years under DC as President. It is time for a change. It is time for maturity and accountability. Go vote.

Well children understand playing by the rules. The birth year rules are in place for a reason and the children will learn a valuable lesson early in life, to play by the rules.

That's right. LakeLakeland didn't do anything wrong. All the other clubs screwed up. Lakeland felt bad for whooping the other clubs. So they forfeited their games so the weaker clubs could get their participation trophies.

If anyone is owed an apology, it is Lakeland FC and their President.

Probably the best response to this thread so far. Agree, it has been in decline.

Enlighten me how THEY (the kids) learn a valuable lesson by the hands of the adults who they trusted to get it right?

What they learned is to stay in school and know what "U" in soccer stands for. That other comment shows what a moron that other person is.

Nobody will go and vote. They only care when it affects them directly or it is convenient. DC will be president again. DC will make soccer great again. It is part of his 4 year plan.
