Why in the world would they create a watered down NEP/NPL model for college bound rich kids? The U12 alliance was meant to be a stronger feeder to DAP, never the creation mechanism for new DAPs. Big mistake watering down the already overenrolled DAP system. Not enough talent in there as it is. Barely have enough U13 and 14s across the NE DAP to work with.

Look at NoCal DAP map: 12 clubs with u13/14 5 full DAP. Wouldn't be surprised if they add NEFC to u13/14. GPS full DAP? That announcement will happen 12/20/17 for sure.

True, a bit extreme but look around at other regions ratios for u12 to u13/14 to u16/18. In many regions it's about 2 to 1.5 to 1. New England added u12s already, will likely add a u13/14.

We definitely need to add more at the younger ages (assuming they're good clubs, otherwise what's the point). But not need for it to be bigger at the older ages. The whole point is to funnel better talent, not open the spiggot to mediocrity

Please explain why you need to add more at "younger" ages? What "good clubs" need DA? Remember, the Revs already "spent" RDS's money on U13 and U14 DA. Why are additional non-MLS DA U13/14 are needed? If these DA teams are free, that means that I am paying for 22 additional players at U12 and even more at U13 and U14. I am paying because my son is too young to play at those ages and did not DA at the older age.

Parents that are chasing the badge. If Johnny cannot make Revs than he will play for any DA club that takes him so the more clubs, the better change that "average" player make a DA team.
