The 16/17s lost today but on a pk. Tomorrow is vs a weak 6th out of 8 teams Sky Blue team. Thorns will score plenty and have a big win. Go Thorns!

Probably better than your organizing skills of structure . Proof read before you post if your going to be rude , because now instead of being a smart ass you made yourself look like a dumb ass you jack ass .

          A win is a win.

College coaches aren't stupid. They aren't trying to recruit players from teams that aren't even remotely competitive with top competition.

How about we fly kids 6 hours across country. Lie to everyone and say they are the best and on a pathway to the pros...meanwhile they are roughly 4th best in Oregon.

Sounds like Ecnl scams but wrapped up in a "US DA" scam box.

College coaches recruit PLAYERS, not TEAMS. Good players are found on bad teams, and vice versa.

Whether there are any good prospects on GDA that might intrigue a D1 scout (let alone the USWNT), I've no idea.

This scam cost the parents about $100(DA), not $1500(ECNL)

Thorns collected about $230,000 in fees. So parents cover large part of travel costs.

I think the Salem Forward is going pro & to the USWNT.

The GDA program cost over a million year, still $700,000 in the hole.

That's surprising. But nothing wrong with it.

Unless you are top 1 or 2 on your team, good luck getting looked at. All these parents that say all these scouts are at these events, trust me, they are not watching the Thorns. A coach isnt walking by and saying, Oh damn, look at this kid.

I would not discount these events just because the kid is not top 1 or 2. Coaches might be looking for a specific type of player who will make a great addition to the team. They might be short of D or MF or F. So they do necessarily look at only the scorer. At any rate, it is a great opportunity to be seen.

That cost for 4 teams is still far, far less than what the program for 4 teams multiplied by 10 months will cost.
