Looks like u15s won yesterday. U16/17 lost today, u18/19 tied today. Decent start.

U15s won against a team that was 2-11 with a -30 goal differential this season. Don’t get too excited just yet! Maybe they match them up with teams of similar records to keep it competitive?!

A win is a win. Well done to Thorns Academy! Never understood why anyone roots against home state teams when they play out of state. They are representing all of Oregon. The better they do, they better it is for all Oregon girls

They don’t represent all of Oregon it was a U15 team from the Portland thorns Academy who is 2nd from the bottom in their conference and has allowed 24 goals so far who played against a team who is also 2nd from the bottom in their conference and has alllowed 43 goals so far. That had to be an epic battle but if you want to say it was a good start then okay

Apparently someone is jumping around to all the threads that aren't about their kid or their paycheck and putting others down. Maybe your negativity is the reason your numbers and wins are down and you can't buy yourself that Christmas present you really wanted.

They are the only u15 team from Oregon in the tournament. If they do well, it helps the other Oregon teams. If they lose, it makes all the other Oregon players look worse too. If your dd's team is better than a good team, all the better. Being better than a horrible team doesn't mean much. If your dd's team is worse than Thorns, you also should hope Thorns do well so your team can still be considered good. You sound very bitter. Even if their performance has no bearing on anyone else in Oregon, how about rooting for Oregon girls when it's no skin off your back?

Same goes for ECNL teams. We should all hope our fellow Oregon teams do well out of state. It helps all the Oregon girls. A win against even a poor team is much better than losing to that same poor team.

Probably. That’s how they match games in ECNL showcases as well.

When you say they are off to a decent start I was trying to how the “best” players from Oregon are doing. Plain and simple that team is awful, but good for them getting a win against another awful team

Even if they are playing bad teams it’s always still fun to win.

A win is a win. The quality of the other team doesn't diminish anything.
