And so these kids will all just flee Oakwood and simply find roster space on any number of other teams?
Is that what you all think?
You may think parents select clubs, but in the end, coaches select players to these regional playing teams, regardless of league. It's not like there is a wholesale roster shuffle going on in these other programs to create space.
You can banter this kind of talk all you want at U10, U11 and maybe even U12. But even if the grass looks greener elsewhere, you may not have room to sit on it. Unless of course you decide to jump from a B team in Club A to another B or C team in the new club.

While this league is surprising* , no one should be surprised that kids get "cut" when it moves to a two-year team. This is how DA works. Approximately half, sometimes more than half, don't make the combined teams. Of course, everyone at OW probably though their kid would be fine, that it would never happen to them. They should have talked to boys parents at OW or BS.
*(and stupid - why not just play top bracket EDP locally? BS has done that)

Default GDA “B” League???
THANK GOD BBA did not get involved with this EDP league! If they ever pulled their NPL teams and put them in this nonsense, they would lose half their top players. It’s already a tough sell to get girls to do the travel/cost and sacrifice of GDA, could you imagine trying to convince the second team players/families to do it too???? WTH was Oakwood thinking????

As a result of interest from several girls U.S. Soccer Development Academy clubs within the East Conference, eight Girls DA clubs in the US Youth Soccer East Region have gotten together to form the 16U US Youth Soccer National League Atlantic Development Player EDP Conference. This conference gives these clubs a chance to participate in a competition with parallel scheduling to the DA that will culminate with a playoff and a chance to participate in the US Youth Soccer National Championship Series.
The following U.S. Soccer Development Academy clubs have committed to playing in this conference for 2018-19:
•Arlington Soccer Association
•Cedar Stars Academy – Monmouth
•FC Fury
•FC Virginia
•Oakwood Soccer Club
•PA Classics
•Washington Spirit Academy - Baltimore Armour
•Washington Spirit Academy - Virginia
Oakwood will never even get the numbers to field a team in this league. Watch and see what happens in the fall

They'll beg to find others to play from outside the club or drag in NPL players if they have an NPL team for that age. In the fall they might not ever have enough to play games (no one in their right mind would give up HS for that). In the spring they'll have 14 players and will be praying every weekend no one gets hurt or has prom. They'll do poorly and get absolutely zero interest in this the following year.
And this will thrill you to no end if it happens, right?
Where does such animosity come from about a soccer club?
