Costs can vary - some clubs follow IRS guidelines which identify directors and coaches as employees. As such, you have employment taxes. Then, there are different leagues (GCF, BYSL) for instance. Each league charges different fees. Then there is practice times. Some clubs may have more night time practices that require lighting. That is an additional cost.

bsa $1350 for training and registration plus $500-$700 team fees (fund raising done to help with team fees) $2050 total

space coast $1500 for training and registration plus $700 in team fees $2200 total

beachside impact $970 for training and registration plus $400 team fees $1370 total

for 03 boys and o4 girls beachside impact is the best choice.
04 boys and most of the girls space coast would be best
        younger boys bsa is better
02 and above would be bsa and space coast about the same

Thank you for reply. I personally already know what you said about best teams, but some people probably are not aware, and it is great to see honest reply rather than the typical of someone spouting their own dishonest agenda. It has always been the case in Brevard that the better players at any given age gradually find their way to the team wih the best core and a good coach. Sometimes it never completely comes together at a specific age, and then we never perform well at that age. These days with SC getting bigger, they are getting the traction with more age groups and earlier. That is good for those agee groups but not necessarily good for Brevard county. Big club has certain advantages, but nobody should want a monopoly on youth soccer in Brevard county.

              Less is a subjective assessment.

Space Coast is the only club in the area that complies with IRS and Department of Labor laws and regulations. That results in higher payroll costs since the club pays the required payroll taxes and covers the coaching staff with a statutory mandated workers compensation policy. The other clubs are risking audits that would inevitably result in tax assessments, fines, and penalties that members will either have to pony up for or deal with a bankrupted folded club.

Do you really want a club that charges you less, but gambles with your money and is one phone call or staff injury away from ruin? Or one that knows what the **** they are doing?

Why do some many ignorant people from Brevard county even post anything.

Space Coast fees are up to help cover the legal expenses resulting from the investigation.

Be careful. Paying anything to a club that is in heavy debt and breaking tax and labor laws may not prove to be the wisest course of action. I would ask for financials before deciding cheaper is better.

Remember, you tend to get what you pay for. If you want a Yugo, buy a Yugo. Just don't expect it to run like a Cadillac.
