Local neighborhood clubs like CU are really good in the US Club, Pacific Division of the NW Conference. FC PDX still at the bottom 4th in the massive division.

Why would these clubs every consider coming back to the OYSA, they are more relevant in the US Club league than they ever could be in the OYSA. Smart but expensive move.

Don't care. Our GDA develops our young phenoms into community citizens whose sole purpose is to improve the human condition of themselves and of the entire Thorns organization. The playing style encourages innovation and selflessness. The diversity and encumberances we have dissolved in the first year of playing have been a marvel to experience. I have nearly cried in some of the practices at the effort I see on the pitch! Winning is our mantra and we won't be stopped by any false pretenses as we continue our journey of excellence.

Inspiring, No wonder why GDA attracts the best and brightest for 'once in a lifetime' opportunities! Amazing!

Thorns isn’t perfect but it is a subsidized national league run by US Soccer. Thorns has cons but many pros. No need to be snarky.

Thorns is expensive for what you get. Banned high school. Lots of infighting. Why are so many girls leaving?

Girls that don’t play are leaving. Happens every year from every team.

Alot more then those. Face it, Thorns has Warts. Few want to be there and GDA is set up to fail.

The issue is that the way Academy is set up with their subbing rules, fewer girls are actually playing. 14/game instead of 18. So more girls are going to leave. And the quality of the replacements will not be good because bubble girls on the other “elite” teams are actually getting to play, and because word is out that if you aren’t top 12-14, academy is not for you.

It's worth it to 'travel' to play teams across the country (US Club League) vs the same caliber OYSA teams within 10 miles of home, due to your clubs playing time guarantee at the local neighborhood travel team, got it. Another Fried Egg.

Last I checked Thorns pick their players, unlike your neighborhood club who pick those that can pay, with very little turnover year to year, unless they are chosen for DA.

Codgers are always using the fried egg theme. Something with their diets I guess. This codger is always on here defending the mighty Academy.

Better than the Artful Dodgers at the travel clubs. Jus Sayin.
