What don't you get about this? This is one of the required showcase events for the ECNL. The results from this weekend count towards standings in the champions league which determines who goes to playoffs in Seattle. ECNL teams CAN'T play non-ECNL teams because of this.

Again, that is not how the ECNL showcase events are set up. Since you don't understand I will explain it in a bit more detail. PDA is like two tournaments in one. They have the ECNL Showcase that was schedule at the beginning of the season. ECNL teams have to play in 1 at U14, 2 at U15 and U18 and 3 at U16 and U17. It has nothing to do with ducking competition. Get over yourself and thinking your team is all that when they are a very good team with a one trick pony to score goals. Let me know how many goals any other player gets this weekend at PDA.

Ecnl games and Non-ecnl games are played side by side....best case scenario for access to college coaches for both ecnl and non-ecnl. Worth the trip!

Obviously you know zero about the team, because they are far from a one trick pony. They have 5-6 studs. When they won Jefferson and beat up on a bunch of ECNL teams, the two goals that were scored in the final were not from "the one trick pony." even though she played really well. Get over yourself and open your eyes. Is she the biggest threat on the team? Absolutely, but there are several girls that you clearly know nothing about and your only ammo is to continue to say they're a one man team. That's why they've won two National Championships - with one player. You sound bitter and idiotic.

You're still having a problem with reading comprehension and logic. Oh well.

Can't any of you simply go to the website and see that ECNL teams are in fact playing non-ECNL teams in some top brackets?

Again, the reason for this is that ECNL teams can and do enter the "open" bracket at PDA. This happens when they've already played in the number of ECNL national events that is required of their age group, as follows:

                U14 = 1 event
                U15 &U18 = 2 events
                U16 & U17 = 3 events

Come on people, it's not rocket science.

The ECNL teams that are playing in the 'closed' ECNL Showcase are doing so in order to qualify for the post season. Any others who are playing in the open brackets have already met their burden.

If clubs have already played the required Showcase tournaments they can play in the open division like FC Virginia. You people worry too much about who plays who. Just play the games and have fun with your kids.
Just want to see the ECNL teams put their money where their mouths are.

Honestly, you folks have such a complex over this, it's nothing short of astounding. Jeez, just get over it already.

Not a complex and there's nothing to get over. Just a league that brags how good they all are but won't play other top non ECNL teams. Pretty obvious why, sounds like you have the complex.

Nefc premier 3-0 over Stars NPL

Nefc elite 7-1 over breakers NPL

I think it's pretty safe to say that Stars NPL is overrated. Winning in a weak NPL league against horrible ECNL second teams perpetuated a myth that they were better than they actually are

Breakers NPL ....results speak for themselves.

Please tell me why there were 11 new players, while the stars roster has stayed consistent?? In one breath you say you outplayed stars in stretches but in the next you have 11 new players so really how can you compare? The problem with this team is they have an excuse for everything. Guess what? You're not that good, and will probably lose a lot of girls next year!
                            Hmmm, ya think?

LMAO!!! How did that work out for. You were right about a team being head and shoulders above the other and that was NEFC. Hammered Stars 3-0!!. Funny thing is everyone knew Stars are a good team but it's idiots like you that set them up for the big fall they just took. Next time give the opposition respect. This Premier team has always been good and with 11 new players they needed time to gel. I think they've gelled now.
