How does a decent team come up with results like this in the State cup? U15 Boys---2 losses 8-0 and 7-0 What is going on there? Are kids not showing up

I think GR must still be at Galway his U-17 girls team won their bracket in state cup. Pretty sure he is the coach for this team. His boys struggled.

It looks like Galway had 3 teams in state cup it seems a little weird for a club with 30 teams and two of them were GR's not sure who was the coach of the other team but they got smoked.

That makes sense---Galway is a great place to play if soccer is second or third on the list of your kids sports priorities.

They had a tough winter in Cohasset probably couldn't get their practices in.

So this is how it ends for the mighty U15 boys. No preseason games, get blown out by the only legitimate teams still in maple (and nor'easter is slipping as seen in the poor Needham tourney showing against NEP clubs), wins against maple teams the would have been D3 a couple years ago, and a Needham tourney performance that had a draw against an mps select team from the worst division in NEP. Players all up and down the roster leaving, this team is dead. I guess they lasted one year longer than the group ahead of them, but same story - bad club, bad coaching and no players

Let us know how tryouts go. Don't fall for the first tryout night "You've been selected but you have to accept tonight" silliness. Go to a few other tryouts and get back to them whenever you feel like. They'll hold your spot.
