There is a YouTube video of WFF playing the IMG tournament. That didn't look like the WFF first team that was playing.

Accurate?
Originally posted by Unregistered View Postat best that was probably a 1500-1700 point tournament for the winner, half points for the finalist. strictly will get 1,000 deducted for the gotsoccer 20% shave so will probably net zero points. only points will be 30 each for match wins.
more realistic team rankings are at youthsoccerrankings.us where they take non-gotsoccer games in to consideration.

Why were you scared to play it last year and I hear your petrified to play it this year. No, you better go take on Space Coast or some team like that. Well, I guess when you lose your only two decent players, to the DA next year, you will be right where you should be. I suppose it's last place again in R3PL. Way to represent.
WFF can lose 2 players to DA and will STILL finish higher than Strictly.
You didn't make the semi's of either SC or Florida Cup. You are not a top 10 team, you just play a bunch of podunk tournaments to get points (13 last year). Such "showcases" as:
Champions Cup
CDL Showcase
Plantation Thanksgiving
Adidas Southeastern Cup (won and earner ZERO points-how lame)
Hell, you even flew everyone to Denver to lose in the finals and won.......30 points.
If you heard WFF is "petrified" of FSPL you need to get your meds adjusted because the voices in your head have returned.
How seriously should anyone take you when you accuse WFF of "ducking the competition" of FSPL when your track record is trophy hunting girlie tournaments? WFF will be playing tougher competition in PLE this year than they would see in FSPL. Playing in the FSPL IS the easy way out, not PLE.

It is a very competitive age group in the state. It will be interesting to see eapecially with a lot of 99 age boys looking to jump to DA teams this year.

They will also be doing many top showcase tournaments so that each player on the team gets seen by as many college coaches as possible. The team supporters will do everything and anything to assist the players on getting noticed by college coaches in these most important upcoming years.

Now to reality. The "team supporters" will do everything to get players noticed by colleges? I find that curious. Do you have a booster club or something? How exactly will you get the players noticed? Truth is it is very difficult. College coaches are going to fewer and fewer events. They concentrate on DA events and a very small handful of other events. Surf Cup is one so congrats on that. I would encourage the "supporters" to support good soccer. Good technical soccer. College coaches are not looking for the guys who get by on hustle and grit. They want technical players that play fast, can play out the back. When they see a team with defenders whose first choice is to boot the ball out of bounds over and over they leave the game. It is not fun to watch. It hurts your chances of college coaches staying and watching.

[QUOTE=Unregistered;1551601]Booting it OB is their last option. Hacking, wrapping up, and stretching out jerseys is their first inclination.[/
True life. Count strictly defenders boots out of bounds vs completed passes from the back. 15:1 ratio is being generous.
