    Hidden club fees! Registration time

Is your club raising fees? Coaches are changing clubs for a bigger payday, DOCs are trying to upgrade homes and cars. How is that affecting your fees? What clubs charge the most?

There are a few in Palm Beach County that charge so much, you would have thought that they play on diamond fields in golden clothed kits! In addition to the exuberant registration costs, you have to volunteer hours for tournament.

Perhaps, the parents are all drugged before signing?

You are seeing across the board fee hikes. Ref fees have increased, tournament fees also increasing as well as league fees. Field space is at a premium now and municipalities know that's easy money to tap into. Registration has to go up. I guarantee you that coaches aren't getting much more.

            Beware

What you need to watch out for is the hidden Team expense. Some teams have assistants that get paid form the Team budget. We have an assistant who is/was paid $5000 and only showed up half the time, the assistant did not want to travel to the north campus to train team. The assistant is a good coach who has a few National College championship and the kids love the assistant.

Broward club $1300 with uniform and $150 for the city if you live oust due the city. Another $150 for the annual club fee ( you just give it to the doc) and last but not least whatever fees they choose to charge that varies depending if the doc likes your coach or not.
If he likes the coach more fees. If he doesn't well he will treat him like trash and cheat him out of fees.

Sounds like a great price! I would like to sign my kid up for that. But the club is probably not competitive. Cooper City has the best deal going for $500.00 but not for my kids age.
