I have an older son that has been a ref, my younger one wants to become one, part that makes it tough is the on field session that they now need to do is over 3 hrs away from us. When you have to make an all day or possibly over night stay to get a 14yr old to be a ref it gets a little ridiculous. That is just my opinion. We have asked our local assignors about getting training closer but no luck so far.
