Also, since you DO know those details, tell us why DPL website took down the registered coaches link, how many guest players is your team forced to take (and who’s paying for that) And please check for me how much we’ll have to pay for parking. Thank you

They made many promises in the beginning of the season, not even half of it were true. You said it may get better next season? Maybe. But, based on current experience, I tend to believe it won’t. If you are willing to gamble your over $2000+ paying the DPL fee next season, in the hopes that things may change, go right ahead and good luck

Not enough players
I was told today that my kid’s team won’t have enough players going to Silverlakes, some that originally committed had pull out because it hasn’t get better closer to the event, actually criticism has increase the more details we find about
We were told no to worry, they are pulling players from “the alliance” to go with us, so my kid will be playing in an team of mixed girls that never played together before, all while paying a good amount of money for a tournament that seems uncertain at best. Can Weston just pull out of it?!

Here in So Cal were on our third year of DPL, for us right now DPL is 11 games roughly for league play used to be a true home and away. The way DPL is supposed to be set up is You play the DPL schedule, you can also play St League, High school, other tournaments/showcases that are not DPL related. The same thing a second team would be doing anyways! DPL is something extra, like national leagues or regional USYS leagues. Our fees are actually not really any different, and less than DA/ECNL. But if you want to play on a travel team then you have to pay for travel, that's the deal.

I am looking forward to the tournament at Silverlakes. It is always a good time at that facility. DPL has provided good competition for us on the west coast. DD has been able to train with the DA team and has competed with them as a PT roster player as have 4 of her teammates. We played in 44 games last year with 12 games in front of college coaches at showcases played outside the DPL season. The travel is fun for the kids and my DD greatly enjoyed going to Dallas last year. Our trips to AZ are easy and a nice weekend family trip. Our group of families understand that we are not at the level of DA or ECNL and don't have the expectation of having college and NT coaches or scouts at the league showcases. It is nonetheless a good competitive league that has a heavier training schedule and additional speed, agility, strength and touch training included in our regiment. Our fees are only slightly higher than we were paying prior to DPL and that is clearly justified by the added field time and outside training as well as game day accoutrements.

The schedule for the Silverlakes tourney is up. Turns out that they are playing at Silverlakes and the previous poster that said they were not at Silverlakes and would be held on. Bad rec fields, well he was just a jackass spewing garbage for no reason.

You know you regret your decision. You know you suck. It’s ok you can admit that.

I'm amazed how many people on this thread that are so concerned about the well being of all the clubs and players associated with DPL. To post every single day about your concerns and recommendations is mind boggling. I hope one day that DPL will listen to the constructive criticism and finally turn this club around. Not only for the all families involved with DPL but for the hundreds maybe thousands that have taken upon themselves to voice their opinions and are hopeful for a positive change. Together we can make a difference!

We are a west coast team and Silverlakes is 25 minutes from the house. They have a full service restaurant and bar on premises not to mention great fields. None of this sucks, sorry for your disappointment that others are not disappointed.
