Team history and coach is easy stuff. What about academics? Anyone have real experience with classes at UT?

What???!!! Are you insinuating that there are lesbians in college soccer? Outrageous.

Don't blame her if that is true. I get it. I'm a huge fan of ******. You should try it sometime, cocksvcker.

What a stellar performance against a bottom feeder team like Lynn. Coach Erin needs to go before my kid ages out of youth soccer. She really likes the school, but the soccer program sucks.

4 pages and no solid info. The usual "team is bad" and a few references to lesbians. And I thought that Talking Soccer had all of the answers. You're all full of sh!t.

On game day, go live stream the game, you decide if UT is the caliber DII team your kids wants to play for. Living in Tampa, my family has had a few opportunities to watch from the stands. IMO, UT is not very good, but better than Eckert (seen them too). They both play a similar style, 1980 something kick and chase. Not real possession or small ball, mostly very direct and over the top, hoping to get lucky and out run the opposing defense.

UT was better a few years ago with the previous coach.

As you can see, since the new coach took over in 2015, UT is mostly less than .500.

UT's AD should make a change.

Play for a professional coach with credentials who can help you grow and develop

I am sorry to say that the Tampa program is led by amateur coaches with no licenses or experience in development or a track record of playing quality football. This is not a diss on the coaches, they are working hard and trying, however not equipped to make this a TOP 20 program that plays real football.

Tampa University was a quality program a few years ago, however, the former head coach took a position in Penn FC or Penn Fusion and due to the fact that most AD's are usually clueless about soccer, they end up hiring a female coach from a winning program without any real coaching licenses who brings in an amateur staff.

Go to a school that plays real football, attempts to keep the ball on the ground and attempt to create chances by creativity, developing a strategy and using good movement to create space not just being physical, kicking and running. The schools that usually play direct rely on athletes and luck while risking injury and burnout due to the tough nature of their style of play. The school itself is one of the best in D2 in terms of location, facilities and resources.

Check if the coach is licensed and go see a training session and match to see if there is a plan of development first and winning 2nd. Even though it is college the true way to win is too develop first and get your players to understand your system which requires teaching and is not an easy task. In 10 minutes you can see if this staff is worthy of having your daughter for the next four years and doing what they want with her. Put her in good hands!

The former head coach at the University of Tampa, prior to the current coach, was removed from the program in 2014. There were allegations of inappropriate behavior, alleged text messages. That coach then took a club job in PA for a very short time, and then was hired at another school, and so on. For the most part he was very well liked at Tampa and is now at Hofstra University. The program really took off under Bobby Johnston and he built the team that won the national championship. The current coach had a good first season in 2015, but that team was established by the former head coach, and it has been rough ever since. The current coaching staff is very nice, but would be better off coaching 12U-14U girls club soccer.

The current head coach is soccer stupid. Go watch a UT game.

The assistant coaches are only there to get their Masters paid for.

U12-U14 would be the worst thing for the kids development. These coaches have no clue what good soccer is, all they know is the kick and run concept. Again, go watch UT play.

Try to reach out to the coach or program regarding anything (player interest, visit, basic questions about the program, etc.). Crickets. You might expect this from a prestigious DI school, but UT? Our kid experienced the coach’s arrogance when she was at FGCU. But, there the program could back it up with results.

If you can't connect 10 passes in a row, there lies the problem
