    Top Clubs Ranking Soccerwire

The FL clubs that made the Top 100 clubs based on Soccerwire Rankings.
Boys: #43 Inter Miami #97 OCYS
Girls: #56 TBU, #58 Sunrise Prime, #93 Weston.

This is all that Florida can produce!! Look at what Michigan is producing and they can't even practice outside year round like FL

There is a lack of understanding by the parents when they are fed that Florida clubs are the best...based on the rankings, obviously they aren't but they'll keep believing as long as someone with an accent is selling it.

Where is WFF on the girls list?
They boasted about being a Top 15 GDA club for the last year. Surely a Top 15 GDA club would show up somewhere on this list?
YY, care to explain your own self ranking?

Michigan has all sorts of indoor facilities, full size fields with domes, etc. Michigan also has a long tradition in soccer. I know that it's cliche how we talk about soccer being in the fabric of a lot of the culture in Europe but it's true. The game is more ingrained in the culture in Michigan also. Soccer in Michigan is nowhere near what it is in Europe and I'm not saying that it is but it's just a bigger part of the lives of a lot of the kids. Hockey, of course, is also.

What are other states doing that we're not? Penn, Maryland are much more successful and much smaller than us. Why?

Weston was #45 in the boys rankings, not sure what else you missed. 3 clubs isn't great and there's room for improvement but I'll bet many states had less. I didn't added them up but ill bet states like california make up the bulk of the list.

you can ignore florida's population as 35% have silver hair, 20% cuban, rican, dominican (don't play soccer), 30% cannot afford or refuse to pay to play, others play the big american sports like football, basketball. leaves you with an available population similar to kansas, and they don't put out much talent either.

"We play kickball in Florida" is the biggest cliche on here and elsewhere whenever someone wants to explain why a team (or a whole state) is bad. It's lazy analysis. It implies that if we didn't paly kickball we'd be good.

Most teams (and coaches) try to play out of the back or at least retain some sort of possession. Rather that blame it on "kickball" I would say we "try" to play possession soccer but are not necessarily skilled at it. It can then turn into a bit of a mess. I think that's a much more honest assessment.

You do understand that once you see that term bei g used on this forum it usually indicates a parent who is now being exposed to soccer through their kids playing the sport. They have neither played the sport at a high level or they just started watching since their kids started playing. You won't be able to have a meaningful discussion about soccer. There are levels to soccer in every state, and the top Florida teams are competitive with top teams around the country, but most of the posters either don't know, or they see individual scores and that defines the entire sport.
