No disrespect, but what is the rationale for including TBU and Cape Coral? Did some movement happen at tryouts? Where is FC Florida on the list? They did well in FSPL last year and are playing FPL this year.

    All competitions:

    1. Sunrise (FSPL Champ, SC Champ, R3PLE)
    2. JFC ECNL formerly Clay? (FSPL 3rd, SC 2nd, R3PLE)
    3. OCYS ECNL (ENCL SE 3rd, Disney Jr. Showcase top bracket final 4)
    4. Boca United ECNL (SC final 4, R3PLE)
    5. PDA (SC final 4)
    6. FC Florida (FSPL 2nd, Florida Cup Champ)

OCYS finished 4th. WFF won 2, lost 1, tied 1 vs them. WFF also had a better 2nd half of the season. So based on that, WFF ECNL will take that 3rd spot.

JFC first needs to go through a grueling ECNL season before you crown them anything but top 5.

        Concorde Fire
        GSA
        OCYS
        WFF
        TopHat

All these teams are extremely good. Talk to us when the ECNL season is over and then tell me what everyone thinks. OC needs to stop revolving rosters every year and settle in and build something if they are going to compete in the long haul. WFF has added some more firepower and will be even better than they were in the Spring and we all know TopHat always has very good teams. GSA and Concorde are not going to play nice either so it will be a great season and competitive as hell. As far as Sunrise, well they will play Pinecrest, Cape Coral, FKK, and a watered down R3PL now that TopHat is gone. Their results will look good but truth be told, they would be middle of the pack in the SE Conf of ECNL

          10. Weston (State Cup Final 8)

1-5 could easily move around next year in terms of order, but as of today I think this is about right. I think WFF and JFC with clay additions will finish the strongest next year. 6-10 will bounce around, but I am not sure 6-10 matters much. Sunrise should win SC very easy next year.

It may take the jfc team half the season to really start gelling so they may struggle against the better ecnl teams at first.

Is it a foregone conclusion that ECNL teams will not play State Cup next year? Just asking.

It is not likely, given that they will be playing 25+ league games and showcase events/tournaments that will total approximately 40+ games. In addition, they will likely play in the ECNL championships in June given that top 3-5 teams in divisions qualify to ECNL nationals. Add another 5 games.

Based on the above, an ECNL team would have to add another 6-10 FYSA sanctioned league games and up to 7 State Cup games...

Plus add 20 high school games!

                Not very likely.

Agree they won't play state cup. U15 didn't this year. But, don't think need to add high school games as most will not play there.

Probably not if ECNL Splits the season (Fall and Spring) like in other conferences, to allow for High school soccer with the expansion of the conference.

So, people were talking about Florida and you threw in TopHat, GSA and Concorde apparently because you have an issue with JFC. Then you say JFC needs to go through the grueling ECNL season before you judge, but you throw TopHat in your top 5. You sure do know how to mix apples and oranges and contradict yourself, don't you.

The Clay team beat the TopHat team in R3PL this year. Doesn't mean they always will, but they are a chunk of the JFC team with excellent JFC players added to the mix. So the JFC team will be stronger than the Clay team for sure. Don't know how TopHat did with attracting new talent now that they are ECNL. All the others were established teams and probably didn't change much.

Clay did lose to Concorde and OCYS ECNL teams by one goal each Labor Day weekend last year. So all in all, it looks like it will be a competitive bunch at this age group. Personally, I think the state would look like

                      1. WFF ECNL
                      2. OCYS ECNL
                      3. Sunrise
                      4. Clay

At the end of last year -- and everyone else was pretty far behind. Going into this year in Florida, (switching JFC for Clay), these teams will have some good matches -- as they will when they play GSA, Concorde and TopHat. BTW TopHat didn't win their SC at this age group either so don't judge a team by its club name.

They have split the season into Fall & Spring to allow for High School.

The teams that were mentioned were ECNL SE Conf teams. They were included because it's so easy to say "well Sunrise is undefeated and look how many loses WFF, OCYS, and JFC have". People who are clueless will swear Sunrise is number one based off their record when in actuality, there's no competition in Fla anymore.

I believe WFF & JFC will be the two best teams in Florida after the way WFF loaded up and JFC got Clay girls.

Wait until you see the OC U15 Purple team. Many will be shocked. I just ask that you wait and see. They are going to be good.

Are you talking about the purple team or the purple team with the ECNL girls? Those are two different teams as was evident at State Cup.

If ECNL does split the season for U15 and older, it will be great. It splits the travel, keeps the girls occupied after the holidays and allows them to play high school.
