Now they are saing anothr foot or more this weekend, and another storm mid week next week. I appreciate that these preseason tourneys say they will plow, but the reality is there are 6+ feet of snow on the fields, and even if you did plow it, where exactly are you going to put it? And what about the parking lots? There just is no room for all this snow.

Any club that signs up to have teams play in an outdoor tournament in MA in February is a club you should run away from as fast as possible. Only a moron would sign up for this.

The Scorpion Bowl will be cancelled for sure...it always is.

With all of the snow, more snow coming, and over 100+inches to melt I think indoor tournaments are the way to go over the next few weeks.

The places that say they will plow should be doing so after every snow storm to keep the fields clear. They should invest in plowing equipment, bobcats, snow melters and/or truck blowers. I blame the facilities more than the clubs that run tournaments. The facilities should collect from all the clubs that want to hold tournaments at their facility to spread out the cost of snow removal. The clubs are told that the fields will be plowed for their tournaments but in the end the facility is too cheap to do it or wait to long.

Haha! If we run away from every club that signs up for these preseason tournaments, what are we we going to be left with? Your kid's club with babysitter-coaches?

                    Worked out well last year.

All these early tournaments have run in the past with few issues, hence the attempt to repeat them year after year. But last year and this year will hopefully make them think twice about timing. At a minimum they need to be pushed to mid to late March. If they don't any club looking for pre-season tournaments will head south next year. They're done.

As for the facilities plowing - i doubt very few if any outdoor sites get enough use in the winter to justify the equipment necessary to keep fields clear. And this winter it's just a losing battle. Mother Nature won this round.

Weak showing yet again on the boys side for Scorpion Bowl. They should just make it "Breaker Bowl" and leave it for the girls

Safe to say the Scorpion Bowl has jumped the shark

post the list of teams...but the odds of this tournament happening isn't high

                              Over-used and mis-used. So 2010.
