So I'm somewhat new here, but noticed someone had the brilliant idea to make a separate folder on this forum for MA Politics. I got to thinking that perhaps it might be beneficial to break the forum down one more time. Here's my proposal:
One folder would be called "PLAYER DEVELOPMENT". This would include any topics on how best to develop players, give advice on navigating the incredibly complicated youth soccer landscape in MA, talk about different programs (DAP, ODP, ID, camps, etc.), discuss the various methods of development that different clubs are using (what's seems to be working, what isn't). People could post articles they found interesting regarding player development or the state of US soccer in this folder, anything from the youth level all the way to the senior NT level. I come to this forum for this type of information and have come across many useful posts, but it's tough weeding through all the other posts to find this info. It would be great to have it all in one place.
But perhaps you've just come home from a tough day at work, or are still drying your tears after your U8 kid lost their game that morning. You don't feel you have it in you to read the weighty posts in the Development folder and just can't create an intelligent post that contributes to those conversations. Instead, you can head on over to the "BRAGGING AND BASHING" folder. Here you can start threads like "can anyone stop the NEFC GU15 Elite team?" and respond to people with posts containing a single fragmented sentence. Don't worry about thinking before you post here and fire off as many as you like in as little time possible. The mere act of clicking on the title of this folder means you'll have no delusions about what you will be posting here. We could even change the folder name to "Bragging about and Bashing Children's Teams", just to be sure the most bleary eyed of us are not missing the context here, but that title doesn't quite have the same ring to it. Also, any club bashing would belong in this folder, so Mr. 25% will have a place to post, too.
Should we put this to a vote?
