So, as a parent of a child on the Bolts, I can say that my son has continued to develop, enjoys going to practices, respects the coach's decisions and has seen a fair amount of playing time. As one of the 'newer' kids. He has fully been accepted by his Teammates, some who have been together for years. This is our third club he's played on (since starting U9) and in every team we've been on there are coaches' favorites, elevated roster numbers, uneven playing time, cliquey parents, bitter parents, etc. I'd love to hear of the club that exists without any of these negatives!

It does exist everywhere - it's worse at some places or certain teams, better at others. Pick your poison on what you can tolerate at a place that will develop your kid. That's about all you can do. It's funny how little parents understand about DAP. Let's take the U14 game against Seacoast. The Rev's did not play all of the best players in that game, why you might ask! Each player has to have a minimum amount of play time, so play the 'non'starters' during an easy game to get the time played up.
