Wow. Last 4 posts are probably from the same person. I don’t think there is any animosity between the parents of these clubs. At least I have never heard of it being on the sidelines. I’m sure it’s some other clubs that are just trying to stir trouble and deflect their own issues.

PDA by far will always be winning. No doubt. That will not change. Winning by 5 goals is the standard for development so be it.

What a shocker. NCAA voting to follow a DA/GDA model of soccer and extending it to 2 semesters and playing less games.

“The college coaches on the men’s side are going to be working hand in hand for the next three months to try to get us to the finish line, to do something that is transformational, an evolutionary and positive change, and a game-changer in this country for not only college soccer, but we feel for soccer in general,” he said.
Cirovski also has widespread support from professional soccer, because the short-season model is a major hindrance to player development. There’s a long history of college players hitting walls in their rookie years because they aren’t ready for a full-length professional season.

Colleges will definitely look more to the DA showcases in the future if that is the case.

So I did some analysis on the pool of 59 girls (2005 birth year) that were invited for a recent US National ID camp held in Kansas City. On this board and elsewhere there is a lot of debate on ECNL versus DA, and whether girls need to be in the DA to get invited to USNT camps. Here is what I found:
1) All girls selected are playing in either the DA or ECNL. No other leagues represented.
2) 41 girls, or 70% were selected from DA, and 18 girls, or 30% from the ECNL.
3) 23 states are represented, with 19 players coming from CA.
4) In the Northeast, PDA sent 3, FC Stars 1 from the ECNL.
5) In the Northeast, STA, Cedar Stars, NEFC and Oakwood each sent 1 each from the DA.

For those who say the beef with PDA is real, you’re mistaken (especially the lasagna poster)
