Best local game is BC hosting Villanova on Sunday (Harvard has V on Friday). Lots of teams play Friday and Sunday. Providence needs to get on track with wins over Holy Cross and Bryant. Northeastern needs at least one win from 2 games down in PA. Would be interesting to see visiting Seton Hall with locals Noah Teperow and Mario Prata returning home to take on Umass Lowell. So far, good starts for UVM, UNH and UMass Lowell; not so good for Umass and Northeastern. BC has faced any big boys yet, and Providence is 0-2 but one of those was to Clemson which is a big ask for anyone around here; same can be said for Umass dropping one to Syracuse.
Would love to see UMass start getting some wins. Anybody know what's up with the scholarship situation there? Speculation was that they got more scholarships to lure their highly regarded coach, and then seemed to have a pretty good incoming class (although some of those players then didn't materialize on the roster). Even without scholarships, Umass can still be an attractive alternative for local kids who can pay in-state tuition, but certainly doesn't make recruiting any easier if you've got a losing program without much money to spread around.

Fun games. Plenty of talent. A good take any time. Better when it's free.

The Croatian invasion hasn't hurt the team. Division 1 soccer is hyper competitive. I'm sure all of these players were super stars in H.S. yet on this field it's tough to stand out. I love watching these games.
