IMG has done nothing on the girls side the past 6-8 years let's be honest. This was a major blow for the league in announcing some of these clubs because anyone in Florida knows they bring nothing to the table in terms of competitive teams. The do not even have teams at U12-U16. No feeder system and is a bunch of foreign players. Really makes sense to add foreign players to a US academy league? Call it like it is, this was a decision to get the facility one time a year for a showcase. Recent additions look desperate for girls DA in Florida. The people in Florida know who the top girls clubs are and boys for that matter. It does not matter what league you stamp on it.

And you are foolish to think DA in front of your name will bring players? Name a boy who left any of those clubs for the DA, now you think a girl would leave when those clubs are putting more kids to college each year than you have in your total program U16-U18 girls. You let us all know how this wishful thinking goes when you return from Pluto.

How many $50000 scholarships will IMG have. Lol. Bad move giving them a GDAP spot. Please people. This is not boys soccer where they have fully funded MLS clubs. This is girls soccer. Having so many teams in Florida is not going to help. The few players that want the GDAP experience should be on the same team rather than on 7 different teams. Once the ECNL adds a few other clubs in Florida to their league it will dilute the teams even more.

Thanks US Soccer. There was finally a platform that was successful oh but you had nothing to do with it so you had to mess it up and try to get a piece of it. Go mess up the men more leave the World Champion women's side alone.

What the GDA cheerleaders keep forgetting is that the top tier most competitive league will be wherever the best players decide to go. Not the league that USSF declares is the top one. GDA may well find itself the second tier league after the elite players make their choices.

So all these clubs went out to get da for no reason? You do not think they will be telling their top players the GDA is where they should be. USSF will be pushing which will make the clubs follow step.

Sure maybe some of the women playing here for colleges helps them to develop into better players on their national team (for the very few that applies to) but at the same time, they also help the very few that will play for the US WNT to be better.
