They are in the top three in MA on both girls and boys.
No other club can say that. That
was territory only the Bolts had a number of years ago.

Originally posted by Unregistered View PostNEP is the worst nightmare for the 2nd tier guys. They need to fight it hard. There is no way they can qualify and after suffering the blow of the legit power teams leaving for Region 1 they cant afford to see Stars and Bolts go to NEP. Which if they did it would raise the bar and draw a clear boundary among top clubs and lower ones probably force more mergers and force out the gym teacher clubs as we see happening more and more. Stars Bolts and some Scop teams have promoted their "b" and "c" teams up the MAPLE ladder and we see MPS doing it now and the small guys see the writing on the wall... so although these harsh and mean comments are funny it really is sad when you think of the desparate condition these poor fellows are facing.

Its just smart biz especially if they truly believe their product is superior.

From the new MPS website, no mention of NEP:
3. Competition
MPS Premier Teams play in the USL Super Y-League as their main League competition.
The Super Y-League (www.uslsoccer.com) is designed to cater to the top players in the US who aspire to play in the MLS, USL, in National Teams or abroad. Teams typically play 10 - 14 games. Team that compete in the New England Division are:

Gamesd are played from April through until August.
MPS teams also play in the USYS National Cup (State Cup), the US Club Soccer National Cup and attend tournaments throughout the year. The number of tournaments attended depends on the age range of the team - the U16 and U17 will attend 3-4 tournaments a year to showcase the players as much as possible.

Exposed what?
Many posters have pointed out all along that MPS will utilize this league alongside Super Y, much as they do now with MASC. My child does not play for MPS, but a few friends do, and they have improved consistently. MPS is doing something right.
