When a coach or club isn't self confident it becomes easier for parents to walk over over them. In this case their nervousness about the league and if it would work opened the door.
I don’t think if it’s a lack of confidence but rather a decision to allow parents access in a way that makes them too close. They are the same parents that arrange college visits and call coaches.
