    DAP 2014-2015 Season

    U18

Oakwood's awesome center back tandem will make it difficult for FC Westchester to get on the board. Oakwood 2 - Everton FCW 0

The Bolts look to start off the season with a bang by defeating their local rivals. Bolts 2 - Seacoast 0

Albertson lost two of their best players to the Red Bulls and is reportedly in disarray. The Revs are without their two best forwards (prep school). Advantage to the home team. Revs 1 - Albertson 0

    U16

Oakwood's best player is playing up on the U18s, but they have a strong crew of new players that should help get them past FC Westchester. Oakwood 2 - Everton FCW 1

A few months removed from their stellar play in pre-academy, the Bolts should prevail against Seacoast. Bolts 2 - Seacoast 0

The Revs struggled in this age group last year, but may be able to conquer the Long Islanders in the season opener. Revs 3 - Albertson 1

    U14

Oakwood and FC Westchester were almost dead even in pre-academy last year. Oakwood lost their top U14 goal scorer (a 2000) to the Red Bulls, but should be able to get it done at home. Oakwood 3 - Everton FCW 2

Bolts were near the top and Seacoast were near the bottom in pre-academy last year. Bolts 3 - Seacoast 1

In their first real game as a team, the Revs should be able to triumph over visiting Albertson. Revs 2 - Albertson 0

Look for Everton FC Westchester to be much improved this year. New talent and coaches with a season under their belt should make for better teams.

      Some early season predictions.

Bolts U18 will have a better 14/15 season than Revs U18 - even after Revs U18 waivers return.

Revs U16 despite an abundance of talent end up in the middle of the pack and have an up and down year.

Bolts U16 do not carry over their good pre DAP results from last season and end up close to bottom of the table.

Revs U14 do well at this age group as they always do.

      Bolts U14 struggle to compete.

          http://ussda.demosphere.com/teams/68...7603/TEAM.html - Revs

          http://ussda.demosphere.com/teams/68...7603/TEAM.html - Bolts

Those are links to the Revs and Bolts 18s. From there you can easily navigate to younger teams or to other clubs. Just click on the name of the other club to get to their schedule.

Bolts U14 players are not the same players/team from last year right? not sure how many from last year were 2000s. the names on this years roster look new.

How would you frame your predictions in terms of the all-important metric of points per game?

Only an ass would make a predicition on TS for the whole season before the season even starts. What a tool.

Sometimes the truth does hurt, these however are just predictions. Whether or not it's truth remains to be seen. Only time will tell. What is true at present is that only a fool predicts an entire season based on almost no information. No games have been played, aside from a couple scrimmages, have you been attending practices that are generally closed to the public? Are you very familiar with the rosters? Putting all that aside is difficult so it is unclear what you are basing your predictions on other than perhaps biases and whim. You predict that Bolts teams that performed well last year and return similar rosters will struggle this year against the same opposition, why? You predict that a Rev's teams that did well will continue to do well, despite being a very different team, why? It's not so much that your predictions seem true and thus sting, it's that they seem to be unfounded and thus unbelievable and unimportant.

The truth hurts? I'd rather get, at the very least, the first week of games over with before predicting the entire season. Good luck to all the clubs and their respective teams.

The less game more practice mantra I see hurting these kids, hoperfully the older kids are getting some meaningful scrimmages. No games until the middle of September..
