BC High is not overrated. They are very good. What annoys me about them are their obnoxiously loud coaches and a few parents. Otherwise, they are very good and any loss in tournament prior to the finals would be considered an upset.

      Division 1 south

Here's what I have for the division 1 south using standings off boston.com

      1. Needham 12-0-4 28/32 .875
      2. New Bedford 11-1-3 25/30 .833
      3. BC High 11-1-3 25/30 .833
      4. Franklin 11-1-4 26/32 .8125
      5. Brockton 10-3-2 22/30 .733
      6. Silver Lake 10-3-3 23/32 .718
      7. Wellesely 10-3-3 23/32 .718
      8. Barnstable 8-4-2 18/28 .642
      9. Natick 8-4-2 18/28 .642
      10. Braintree 8-5-4 20/34.588
      11. King Phillip 6-4-2 14/24 .583
      12. Marshfield 6-4-5 17/30 .560
      13. Weymouth 7-6-3 17/32 .531
      14. Attleboro 4-5-3 11/24 .458 (currently out)

So say all 14 made it your first round match ups would be as followed

      3. BC high vs 14. Attleboro
      4. Franklin vs 13. Weymouth
      5. Brockton vs 12. Marshfield
      6. Silver Lake vs 11. King Phillip
      7. Wellesely vs 10. Braintree
      8. Barnstable vs 9. Natick

These will obviously alter a little bit but it's safe to say there should be quite the drama in the D1 south in two weeks. Let's see if Attleboro, Weymouth, and marshfield can secure a tourney spot. Also lets see if teams like braintree and King Phillip can stay where they are in the last week or will they drop a couple of spots.

Let's the fun and madness begin

Ignore this. Post 660 has the standings, including the games that boston.com doesn't have. The list above also omits durfee.

Natick's game was postponed to today, so 5 of the above in action today, all against lesser lights except Weymouth, which should tie Brookline.

It's not a big deal for BC to have an equal record as New Bedford, since they would prospectively play each other on a neutral field, if neither is upset before South semis. But BC should be motivated by the possibility of a tie for 1st seed. That could come about if Needham is tied or beaten by Lexington, which at 13-2-1 is no pushover.

WHERE ARE WE IN D1 and D2 as of right now?

                Comment

                  D1 thru 10/24

Franklin, Silver Lake and KP all won today as expected. Natick's game further postponed to 10/28. Weymouth lost to Brookline, making a dicey situation for themselves. Franklin assured of no worse than 4th now.

Tomorrow, BC, Durfee and Braintree should notch wins. Marshfield-Weymouth rates even, but Weymouth has more to play for because Marshfield is already in via 2d-place league finish. Marshfield could get a less-difficult first round match the more points they pick up though.

Who has lexington played and who did they lose to and tie with?

I believe Lexington lost to Wilmington and Belmont and tied Arlington. All have made it to post-season. Can check Globe to be sure.

Their well-liked coach passed away in the Spring, so they deserve a lot of credit for the poise they are showing and the way they are playing.

They've played their middlesex league schedule. Lost 1-0 to 9-1-6 Wilmington on 9/5, tied 2-2 w/ 6-4-6 Arlington on 9/30, and lost 3-2 to 11-4-2 Belmont on 10/21.

Off the top of my head, I know Lexington has losses against Wilmington and Belmont.

Lexington seems not as strong a foe for Needham as BC or Framingham, but as strong as any other Needham has played.

just realized that Medway lost two D1 recruits in AA and TD to academy/ISL respectively. Wow

Most publics have many town residents in private schools. Most teams have players get hurt. Most teams have players move away. Etc. etc. What matters is the team that is.
