It has been settled professor is a whack job:

In two online studies (total N = 1215), respondents completed personality inventories and a survey of their Internet commenting styles. Overall, strong positive associations emerged among online commenting frequency, trolling enjoyment, and troll identity, pointing to a common construct underlying the measures. Both studies revealed similar patterns of relations between trolling and the Dark Tetrad of personality: trolling correlated positively with sadism, psychopathy, and Machiavellianism, using both enjoyment ratings and identity scores. Of all personality measures, sadism showed the most robust associations with trolling and, importantly, the relationship was specific to trolling behavior. Enjoyment of other online activities, such as chatting and debating, was unrelated to sadism. Thus cyber-trolling appears to be an

The Democratic Party is held in worse regard than at any point in the past 30 years, according to a new poll. The poll, from the Washington Post and ABC News, shows 39 percent of Americans now have a favorable impression of the blue team, while 51 percent have an unfavorable impression.*Both are new records.Through it all, of course, Democrats continue to have a better image than their GOP counterparts, whose favorable/unfavorable split with the American people is currently 33/56.But the Democrats' drop is particularly notable given they have never polled below a 46 percent favorable rating.

            Uh oh!

"FERGUSON, Mo. —*Darren Seals experienced waves of disbelief and anger after Michael Brown’s death, but two months later, he has found a way to channel his emotions: Focus on changing an elected leadership that seems deaf to the concerns of African American residents like him.So on Nov. 4, the 27-year-old assembly-line worker and hip-hop musician from a deeply Democratic community plans to take bold action. He says he will vote for a white Republican.“Just because they’ve got the D next to their name, that don’t mean nothing,” said Seals, who lives a few blocks from where a police officer shot Brown. “The world is watching us right now. It’s time to send a message of our power.”Many African Americans in Ferguson and across St. Louis County, angered over their leaders’ response to the fatal shooting, say they will be taking their outrage to the ballot box and voting against a Democratic Party that has long been their automatic choice."

Sux to be a Democrat this year.

"The Democrats are already facing substantial headwinds in this year's midterm elections: they are defending 21 of 37 Senate seats up this year, President Obama is a drag on the ticket with overall popularity hovering around 40 percent, things seem to be falling apart in the Middle East, and the economy continues to grow at a tepid pace, buoyed up to now by a record-breaking stock market. Election forecasters have conceded the House of Representatives to the Republicans and are giving Republicans very good odds of capturing the Senate. Now, in the last two weeks the stock market has undergone a substantial correction that may yet turn into a full blow crash. The Dow Jones Industrial Average has dropped by about 1300 points since October 1, falling from around 17,200 to 15,900 as of late afternoon on October 15. The S&P 500 and NASDAQ have fallen by similar proportions. All told, the U.S. stock markets have lost close to $1.6 trillion in wealth in the past two weeks. By all appearances, the correction has not yet run its course. The markets could fall still further on worries about slow growth in Europe and the United States, and a general sense that events are spiraling out of control. The stock market correction may prove to be the last nail in the coffin for Democrats as we look ahead to the elections in less than three weeks."

You know it's bad when the New York Times prints articles like this.....and Perspective and the Nutty Professor don't bother trying to contradict the obvious.

"When you think about it, many of the Obama administration’s “scandals” have been failures of competence. The Secret Service let a man leap over the White House fence and get into the White House. The Veterans Health Administration covered up unconscionable delays in treating veterans. The error-ridden rollout of the Obamacare website was a nightmare for people trying to sign up for health insurance. The Republican right takes it as an article of faith that the national government can’t do anything right. Problems like these only help promote that idea. And now comes the C.D.C. — the most trusted agency in government — thrust in a role for which it was designed: advising us and protecting us from a potential contagion. With every new mistake, it becomes, in the public eye, just another federal agency that can’t get it right."

Pretty good summation of the incompetency of this administration.

Incompetence Meets Mendacity in Obama Administration’s Ebola Response*

Of course you can keep your health coverage, and your doctor. And we’ll cover everyone while your premiums plummet. Meanwhile, al-Qaeda is “decimated” and these Islamic State guys are just the jayvee team. In fact (fact?), they’re not even Islamic — although they may not be quite as “secular” as the Muslim Brotherhood. Just extremists. (Extreme aboutwhat? Don’t ask.) Jihad is just a “purification of the self”*.*.*.*or, at most, “workplace violence.” Benghazi? A spontaneous “protest” incited by a video. The president was not told it was a*terroristattack*.*.*.*except by the secretary of defense right after it started — long before he responded by*.*.*.*going to Vegas, where he promptly announced al-Qaeda was “on the path to defeat.” Still, rest assured that the State Department’s top priority is the safety of American personnel*.*.*.*although we did reduce security in Benghazi after our facility was bombed. And rest assured that the Justice Department would never ever let guns walk*.*.*.*except for the thousands its Fast and Furious program transferred to violent gangs — who’ve used them in who knows how many crimes, including the murder of a Border Patrol agent. Still, at least there’s “not a smidgen of corruption” at the IRS, where citizens are harassed, evidence keeps disappearing, and the official at the center of it all takes the Fifth to avoid giving incriminating testimony. No matter. Just take heart that Ebola is not coming to the United States*.*.*.*um, well, if it does come there will be no outbreak*.*.*.*but,*er, if there is an outbreak, we have careful protocols and health-care professionals fully trained to deal with it*.*.*.*and even if the protocols don’t work and the professionals don’t have adequate training, we’ll have a rigorous monitoring program for anyone who is exposed*.*.*.*or maybe a self-monitoring program for people who will isolate themselves*.*.*.*unless, of course, we tell them to go ahead and hop on a plane. Well, look, at least we can promise there won’t be a “serious” outbreak.

Ya, but let's hope Republicans don't screw up a good thing. 2016 is going to be a very tough year for them if they do.

Is that you, Professor??? You seem to have forgotten our conversations over a year ago when I told you the Republican strategy was to force Shaheen to defend her seat and the Dems to help her by shuffling money to NH to do so! Thus taking money away from other races. Shaheen spent nearly double what Brown spent. The Republicans were quite successful in achieving their goal and for a while there it even looked like Brown would pull off a win. But if you take solice in Brown's loss, no problem. I take solice in the fact that only 31 of the 60 senators who voted for Obamacare will enter the new Congress.

BTW professor, did you catch the viral video of Jonathan Gruber, MIT economist and Obamacare architect, that hit the internet this weekend?

“Lack of transparency is a huge political advantage,” says the MIT economist who helped write Obamacare. “And basically, call it the stupidity of the American voter or whatever, but basically that was really, really critical for the thing to pass.”

Gruber's other comments on Obamacare aren't going to do any favors for this administration as the latest case goes to the SCOTUS.
