Spirit of Liverpool has no affiliation with the actual Liverpool. Its just owned by a guy from the city Liverpool so he named it after them.

yes thats what I want. What does my kid want though? he wants to play with his friends from school and wear a cool uniform. Thats pretty much the end of his list.

Spirit of Liverpool I believe had to change their name because Liverpool FC told them to. They wear the LFC kit but it is adidas not new balance, which is a big deal in the branding - marketing world. They also but the LFC badge on their kit without permission... which is a no no.

Pretty sure that Spirit of Liverpool has no connection with LFC other then being fans of the club, whereas CSU has the partnership and is the only LFC Academy in the state.

new New Balance kits were coming next year anyway as the 2 year cycle is over after this year. not going to cost any more money and club stated today that the uniform kit will be cheaper than Warrior.

100% true - taken directly from Spirit of Liverpool's web site "

Why the name change from Liverpool FSC to Spirit of Liverpool?

Liverpool FSC began in 2004 with the blessing and encouragement from Liverpool FC. However with recent developments at Liverpool FC there has been a concern and the need to protect their "IP" Our name and logo was too close to that of Liverpool FC, therefore confusing to many people. We understand that Liverpool FC is a global brand and must protect their IP, so we have decided to make the change to "Spirit of Liverpool"

Had a daughter go thru the LFSC program. Decent people, good coaches, and they created a lot of Liverpool fans.
                        Well worth it.

I can't think of a better way to cover up for existing deficiencies. How else can they exist with a fast deteriorating line up of teams and coaches?

Same here. And the Liverpool name sparked my kid's interest in EPL soccer. We still tune in years later.
