Not all soccer is good soccer. Don't do Academy if you want your child to play low level soccer in what little free time they have. If your kid needs a soccer team to socialize then he'll never make it at the Academy level anyway. Those kids don't play soccer to make friends. Not arrogance, just advice you don't like.

No middle school soccer, no baseball, lacrosse, basketball or hockey. School and soccer is all that is in your son's future.

What are you looking to do here? Just stirring?
Actually I am someone here who is actually not stirring. I happen to be a middle school coach and one of my players will be playing for the revs next year. Sorry, not everyone here has an agenda!!! This site is brutal!

So you are a middle school coach asking if the player you have that's going to the revs next year for u14 academy can play Middle school? What the hell would u want him to do that for? This has to be a joke, No?

Not at all. We have a very good team and a great and probable state champ team with him. He wants to play!

            schedule

Whats a middle school schedule look like? Revs practice 3-4 days a week with a game on the weekend. I don't think he would have enough time to play both. Not to be crass but Middle school and DAP don't go together. I don't see it happening.

We train Monday thru Friday and once season starts 2 games a week. Very rigorous and probably more beneficial than Revs. Revs could complement our program!

That is exactly why DAP doesn't want kids playing school soccer. Too much low level soccer in too short a time. Very susceptible to injuries and no time for recovery.

You should challenge the Revs to a game. You sound like you would beat them.

...and Mass. pays buffoons like you to teach their children.

Complete opposite of what DA is all about, where it's more about training vs overuse/too many games. But sounds like you're doing a great job preparing them for HS, which is all about overuse/too many games.

The player cannot miss anything for Revs training and games. If he choses to do both (it is his/his family's choice after all, not yours) don't put pressure on him to miss that for your practices or games. If you're willing to let him miss when there are conflicts then be prepared for the backlash from parents whose kids are there all the time.

                          First, this is a troll.
All Middle school soccer looks like... well.. kindergarten soccer compared to any level of club.

Second, an academy player signs contracts stating he will not play on any other team (club, town, school). Any middle school (*cough*cough) coach knows this.

Third, Arrogance by the kid and parents to get glory BMOC status. (Not that everyone doesn't aspire to that in America as their highest level of accolade, but serves no purpose other than pure ego.) All the other kids on the team and parents despise this egomaniacal player.

actually the young man in question is one of the most well liked players on the team and has offered to be the manager if he can't play!

Some might not know it - this is the first year moving the age group down to 12. U14+ it's more of a HS issue.
