    Girls CMASS

Who is the team to beat this fall?

My guess would be Wachusett to repeat. Lost only a small group of starters.

Gonk should be in the mix as always. Good feeder system.

Not a surprise if Wachusett and Algonquin are favored. With that size student population to choose from I would expect that.

Oh and there is more than just D1 in central mass.

I would expect Sutton to be strong in 3 along with the usual suspects Auburn and Holy Name. Maybe a resurgence from Northbridge and Bromfield. BVT seems to have fallen off a cliff along with others like Littleton and tyngsboro

Sutton youth programs have fallen off the map.
With the fall of Hamlets, the girls have spread to different clubs so the continuity of youth through high school will suffer.

Marlboro will be good and in the mix. Westboro will struggle.

Westborough has very few returning players, but they have a very good coach. I’d look for a few freshman to be impact players for PM this fall.

Wachusett did not lose anyone that can't be replaced. They have depth and bring back the majority of their starting line-up. They should be favorites to repeat or at minimum win CMASS.

How many did they lose? I agree that they are the team to beat.

Not sure of the number lost, but only two-three were starters.

Agreed Westborough lost lots of seniors while Marlborough stars return as long as they don't do something foolish like GDA
