SCP were only in Woodbridge for a few years. They left CT Sportsplex because they felt they weren't being treated well (translation: bigger discount). That was when BQ was the boys director and AC was Girls director. Didn't work well and they went back to North Branford. They have about half the teams they used to.

Years back after RK left and went to CFC, then SCP lost all their good players who followed him it was curtains for them.
Now they barely survive with a decent team here and there.
They dug their hole themselves.

Yes, but only as a shell of their former selves. They have some decent state level teams.

I think it was 2 teams and other good players from other teams as well left during that time.

SC was in a slide due to poor management before the BS "merger". That deal sealed their fate. It was a merger in name only; most SC coaches and players were not moved onto the new so-called combined teams. That made the club look even less competent and they lost their one hook that made them stand out in a crowded competitive field. They've limped along since then but have never recovered.

Many of the top young players at SCP in the ages right below RK's teams also followed him to CFC. Several of the current CFC United ECNL girls came over front SCP. SCP had a great young group of talented girls now playing at CFC ECNL and FSA ECNL. RK definitely impacted more than 1 team when he left several years ago

SCP was a dominant club in this area about 10 years ago. Both boys and girls sides were solid.

The death spiral was quick. Mismanagement at its finest and certainly made worse by top players seeking out ECNL and Academy
