the leagues isn't running U19 teams so why would the notoriously cheap Revs? By that age they know who has it and who doesn't.

The league is running U19, but it is not mandatory to field a team for the MLS teams.... as of now, we still don’t know which teams the revs will have. We only know they will have a U15 and U17 as it is mandatory for those age groups. The rest is pure speculation for the moment.

None MLS team will focus on college recruitment, MLS team will focus on the hand full of kids that can become pro, and will reject the rest after the U17 season...

That's what nearly all pro clubs do, US and abroad. That's why there's no incentive for MLS clubs to keep training older players. They will either jettison them or charge large fees to cover the costs.
