I have seen tbu fields. Why go play on those awful fields? Lots of other places to go like Disney, Lakewood ranch, IMG, Naples, ft. Myers, Weston, auburnadale, winterhaven.

No exceptions. Look it up and you will see that.
The coaches have to beg him when it comes to tournaments. So, the ones you see took lots of pressing to make happen. That is one of the final blowups that led to the U9 or U10 boys leaving last year to TBU.

Lutz picked 22 players at tryouts for the A team. 22 for the B team. The A team dont dress 4 players each game and have a match day squad of 18. A couple of their players had long term injuries( broken ankle, torn acl) and were not replaced in the team which is the pount of the 22 men. The only time b team players have played up is in a couple of easy USA games which their better players were rested.

All correct. Why would any team use guest players, they use them when they don't have enough healthy players on the roster. Both teams have more than enough players for any and all games. 22 is a big roster, but apparently that's ok with the players and parents.

          Senseless Pride

This type of attitude is what is wrong with soccer as clubs politically fight for kids and table scraps.

Was this team really TBU's team? Who developed this team? Did he force these parents to leave? Did these parents leave on their own free will? I think most can answer these questions and draw your own conclusions. The only thing Mike took was your senseless pride.

Clubs have much of learning to do. Clubs need to earn respect and loyalty for players to stay and parents to pay. In this situation these kids are better off with a move from TBU to Lutz. Mike is obviously offering something that TBU could not. Instead of bashing you should respect the work he has accomplished and learn something from this (humility).

That is exactly the problem here at Lutz. MC's son's team (U16s) is an exception to every rule in the club. They go on trips to Alabama, UK...basically all over the US for various leagues while all the other teams are restricted to 'limited' primarily local tournaments and league play and are as a result developmentally handicapped! Wake up Lutz...MC only cares about his kid and his pride and joy U16 team that his kid plays on.

Most Lutz teams are not competing well in the local tournaments. So why spend the money and time to get beat far away from home when you can do that close to home.

The team travels like they do because they are really good and they play in three leagues. Why all the hate. He has picked up many players from other clubs. Parents want their kids to play on a great team. Funny thing is, the club is the cheapest club around and they are playing on one of the top teams in the country. Don't be a hater. Try out for his team, he is always adding new players each year. They come to him, he doesn't go looking. He doesnt have to.

Question: do you feel all teams at Lutz are treated equally?

Question: does your 400 dollar fee cover travel for all these trips? Does MC cover it for you. Would he do the same for other teams...NO!

I don't know if all teams are treated equally. I like our team. My daughter is not coached by MC. Of course the $450 we pay does not cover traveling. It does cover uniforms, practice shirt, coaching, training -SAQ and region C but no it doesn't cover our hotel or gas or meals.

Generality doesn't apply. Just look at got soccer and tournaments. They got teams at various ages still in region cup and four going to state cup. Looks like several have done pre season and mid season christmas tournaments. How many and where should they go?

                      Your way off base.

The only reason the 16s go on these trips is because they are the best in the club and nationally ranked. They have never gone to the UK with the Lutz team. Thats was league all star team consisting of people from clubs all over the area.

No, it was an all-star team run out of Everton Pinellas. Consisted of players from Wesley Chapel, lutz, everton pinellas, braden river, and fsc spirit. No affiliation to Rangers.

I didn't realize that arrangment was still around. Everton Pinellas DOC formed his own summer leage for U14s a few years back to get the kids more games in their last year playing the junior schedule. He then tried to assemble an all-star team from the clubs that played in the league, but there were suspicions it was just an attempt to poach kids to Everton, so not sure participation level was very high.
