When is it the right time to leave a club?

Dear Mr. Marks, Mr. Carey, and the Board of Directors of FC Boston:

We signed our children up to Fred's organization becuase of the Breakers Academy name AND it's Affiliation.

We signed a contract with a particular coach in mind.

We signed becuase we believe in the name, integrity and reputation of the Breakers.

Due to the events of an unfortunate and unwitting team manager, our coach is now no longer associated with the organization.

We find that coaches have not been paid their due, and are others are soon to follow. We suspect the state department of labor may find this interesting.

We find that the organization is seperating with the Breakers and want to remove logos from our children's uniform.

We find that rules of the leagues are being cited to threaten our depature.

If we hadn't thought of leaving before, we are certainly now encouraged to seriously consider so.

A contract written or otherise is entered into in good faith, between coaches and their teams , between the club and their coaches, between the club and the parents.

The recent events call into question the business practices, the integretity of the program and actions undertaken by your collective directorships.

    We have had enough.

We just want our kids to learn and play the game with coaches that they respect, with an organization the we respect.

Is that too much to ask?

    Then just leave.
And keep the stupid threats to yourself.
    Wah, wah, wah...
    Should've signed with Valeo...

Very well thought out post. Fred is trying to scare people into staying until Spring. All of that should be spelled out shortly. If a parent is unhappy with their present situation, they should have the right to seek an alternative path. You're not happy with the current set up, then you have options. Do not let other people threaten you because you are the consumer.

Answering your own post...classic.... You can't just keep following 'mystery coach' (let's face it, we all know who it is) from club to club. There are rules to prevent coaches from taking teams with them when they leave... Don't hate the rules, stop breaking them and then threatening to sue when he moves again....

          Where is threat to sue?

Are any of the points raised inaccurate?

Classic BTNT -- "are any points raised actually inaccruate"?

Just leave. There's nothing they can do to you.

If they try something stupid just have everyone counter for breach of contract.

Anyone can leave any club at any time. While you may not be able to go where you wish you can always quit and find somewhere to take your little Mia, which of course is a great lesson to teach your children. I have a bunch of millennials at my work who function exactly under this mindset and to say they struggle with change is an understatement. Go for it though, you can sell it to your kid as kind of a red shirt season.

This thread is reason #2,143 that I'm glad I have boys and don't need to deal with girls soccer.

Certainly in this case there's ample reasons to get out of the "contract" such as it is (they're all pretty much a joke). If they start aggressively going after people for the money they might as well seal the coffin up now and put it 6ft under. Dead. Done. RIP.

Because clubs/teams never implode on the boys side? Give me a break

Spot on. This generation is unbelievably entitled and self righteous and is destined for failure if they don't toughen up.

It certainly never happened at the clubs my kids have played for. You don't see this happening on the boys side at the Bolts, GPS, NEFC, or other established clubs. Just one more thing to be grateful this holiday season.

You are missing the point. They ARE going to leave and follow XX (again)But they don't like they are being told it is against the rules (still) and afraid the little darlings will have their coach, but no league to play in since coaches can't take teams with them. All the BS about wanting to be Breakers because it was in the contract is hysterical. If coach was staying with FC Boston this would have been a non issue.
