Why are you (as usual) hell-bent on instigating a problem no one has complained about or agreed with you that there is any problem? Maybe let Suzie field this one, since you apparently are incapable.

Does anyone doubt that this happens? I see it happen with roughly 2-3 kids a team. Usually the parents freak out and either switch clubs or become a sideline poison. Definitely not a non-issue.

Do you find it the least bit ironic that you are the only person obsessed with talking about it? And when someone jokes sarcastically, "start a new thread," you aren't compelled to do so every 5 minutes.

Quite a performance today, BTNT, even for you. We get it. You're desperate for everyone to know your kid is on the NT and everyone else sucks. You are the only one who cares.

Fishy you aren't seriously going to compare your two left footed D3 player to a national team player are you? Are you now appointing yourself the spokesperson for all the recruiting failures out there? Is this another cause to add to your lunacy?

BTDT, you're humiliating and diminishing your father and your kids....one post at a time. Nice work.

Very entertaining exchange you two. It's like watching two parents arguing at day care that their kid is more deserving of the crayons.

It's ****ing soccer....really. Grow up. It's a game, and no one cares very much about it once they get their head screwed on straight (which happens after they stop vicariously living through their child).

                    whew!

So much energy wasted on meaningless posts thus far.
Whether or not the thread was started for the sake of starting a thread or to ask an important question is not really important.

First, I would say this about your own child. The player that is learning the most and more likely to be recruited is the one with the ball most of the time. The others are just watching and will continue to watch others play well into their adult years. The age old question of tactical vs technical is very important with regard to recruiting. If you are the one who always gives the ball up to the another who then creates the play then you will be less recruited.
Your child has to be involved!!!

For the amount of money that you are paying the club, the club has to take some responsibilty in promoting and preparing beyond the practices and games. Setting up showcase weekends of training and games with college coaches in attendance is one way to help. Paying for team videographers and giving players/parents access is a great way to make highlight videos, which are very important. Attending specific school clinics/camps is a third way.

It is a group effort that involves your kids desire, the parents willingness and ability to investigate and collect (e.g. videos), and the clubs promotional efforts.

                    Good luck.

It's not two people. It's a few different people taunting the whack job Perspective.

Brilliant. A "few different" people on one side, but only one on the other. Really? And yet among that "few" not a single soul willing to stand up for BTNT. Beyond telling.

BTNT's performance yesterday was as sick as they come.

Definitely do not tell other club parents your goal institutions for recruiting. Hard when everyone is *friendly* for the win.

Oh, silly me, I thought everyone supposedly is one big happy family magnanimously thinking of what's best for all the kids on the team. Guess there might be some other reasons why some on this web site don't want the "how to's" of recruiting to be discussed.

The vast majority of TS readers despise you Perspective. The same can't be said about btdt.
