Ok now that Perspective has vented his little spleen maybe we can get back to the original question. Right about now in the class of 2018 there are parents figuring out that nobody is really interested in their kid. No denying it because it happens every single year with every single recruiting class. That tends to start a lot of finger pointing and some team changing. The question is who is responsible. We had a thread a couple of weeks ago about how much "help" you should expect from the clubs. That was the first salvo. At this point in the year when high school age players are starting to refocus on their club situations we always tend to have a number of parents raging here about how the club coach did nothing for them. It usually gets worse after the Christmas tournaments. So the question is who's fault is it when things don't quit work out the way they were planned and there is no interest and what should a parent do in this situation.

Best thing you can do is keep your kids' recruiting private - not even shared with your club - or it will end up on TS for all to criticize.

Does sort of speak to the paranoia of the "it's all about the education crowd" though. Fishy certainly can't accept that not everything is about the choices they made.

If the kid has been emailing coaches of many different levels and ranges, then they should find there way. If you've been waiting for coaches to come to you, you better start emailing and calling and having a highlight tape as well as be prepared to spend money on their clinics, if the player is truly interested of course.

No, the thread is about you starting your usual, tiresome nonsense with you as the only person claiming we have a ton of families (who remarkably never post here) awash in misery. I guess just more of your "paying it forward"....the misery, that is.

So either this isn't a problem or you just don't want parents comparing notes and putting the blame on your coaches.
