So two Big Ten schools from the Northeast square off for the third time this season in one side of the bracket. First two were 1-1.
On the other side, favorite FSU plays surprising Duke in an ACC matchup.
The four teams that advanced gave up a total of 1 goal in 400 minutes of Elite 8 play. It's all about defense.

I am an Eagle fanatic now rooting for Rutgers to make the finals. How did we let HK slip though our extensive recruiting network? She would have clearly shored up our back 5 or 6 the last couple years. Darn.

A player on some of the great Stars teams, which BC usually watches. Defensive mids aren't the most exciting to watch, until you don't have one.

Because the executives at the heights recruit forwards then adapt them as defenders. Like that kid from Nobles (Coco? ). Little they know that defending is an art and it is not cliche when we say it wins champiosnhips.

Yeah, no-one has kept up with them so far. That will change in the next game. Rutgers needed to play a perfect game at the back and they didn't. Great season for them though.
