Heard OYSA is letting them and Bridges in. No chance in hell for SCA/IFC/tuff streets whatever they are called.
Anyone in the know?

Can you explain how new clubs who start up, like the example provided, don't meet OYSA standards? Furthermore, if you're apart of OYSA wouldn't that make you reconsider if they don't follow their own policy. Outside of that how are these new clubs not focused on the kids...that's more an opinion than anything else unless your employed by one of these clubs. Lots and lots of opinions on here repped as "fact."

Originally posted by Unregistered View PostThe most relevant policy is that new clubs need to service a new demographic or geographic area. Starting a new club because a DOC doesn’t want to be accountable to a board or wants to make more money is not a valid reason regardless of how they spin it.

Is that stated in their policy?
Then why have so many clubs that have join in recent years literally cover the same area? Furthermore, that creates the opposite of what you'd want...a free market. Let the players, parents, and coaches become educated and make their own choice. Thay policy literally spells out you can only play with us if you pay our friends...great policy!!! For the chosen few. Keep in mind OYSA isn't ran by intellectuals who actually research data...such as population density. So the entire outline you suggest...is currently flawed for specific individuals-alliances gain. But...yes lets ignore that.

What if the existing club in an area or demographic is poorly run, has bad coach's, or not enough coaches to actually properly address the demands of that demographic or geographic area? Are young players and their families then forced to play for a club that can't actually help them as players?

OYSA's job isn't to run leagues, it sanctions clubs and league and enforces a quality standard that protects the youth being served.

The OPL was run by the clubs, no one liked and every club is back in OYSA. Why? OYSA has standards, clubs have to meet or exceed the bylaws set forth by USYS and OYSA. There is oversight at each level. If you look at the start up clubs there is a reason they are start ups ie the relationship with their previous club was terminated by one party or the other.

I can do it better? There are plenty of opportunities to coach
I wan't to make more money, is being a youth soccer coach supposed to be a six figure income?
I don't want to be accountable to an actual board? This should be a red flag. A board isn't your former team manager from the club you just left.
You have to look at the motivation
