The writer was spot on. Constant pandering to the means just lowers the bar so everyone gets a trophy.

Men can be such pigs. She was asked to fill in and she stepped up, even gave up Thanksgiving with her family. She had days to prepare. She's not a football player or kicker but a fantastic GK.

Don't worry. Few girls are clamoring to play football. They want to protect their brains. Let your dumb azz son's play

After 3 days on the team. Before she ever touch a football in a game. You can't make this stuff up.

And for this she gets SEC player of the week? Now thats funny. No field goals, no booming punts, no moon shot kickoffs, no great tackle, no extra points. One pooch kick. If it was. Coach was fired the next day.

Sarah and her huge ego played out her made for TV movie script and then spilled her guts to the media how she, the great Sarah Fuller, gave them a lecture at halftime cause they suck and lack motivation. 3 days on the team. Yeah , Sarah then kicked the ball 30 yards and ran off the field. Now get out there and HIT boys!!!!

And the media sucked it all up.

Not about me,sweetie. Its about the unmitigated gall , ungratefulness and gigantic ego of this girl. She threw her coach and teammates under the bus by talking to the media about her ridiculous lecture on how much they suck ( ya know whats said in locker room stays there rule of thumb) after being invited 3 days earlier for a great opportunity to be PART OF A TEAM.

Not to satisfy her ego by blabbing to the media for more publicity . Im surprised she didn't film her half time rant and put to on her instagram page for hits.

Blame goes to the coach who asked her.

as the father of daughters who are athletes i get the importance of the optics- i also want young girls to not be limited to the sports they want to play
that being said -she should not have divulged the halftime speech as the OP said teams keep stuff in house (even girls teams)
and as a former football player i would have told her to sit down until she at least got her Uni dirty- kickers arent to be heard from anyway no matter what gender

Not upset at all. Think it's rather cool she got the opportunity.

Exactly what is a "man's job" in the first place?

I didn't know leadership was directly linked to a playing position. I always thought it transcended such things. I have no opinion on her decision to speak at halftime. I wasn't there. Was she encouraged? Did she take it upon herself? Was it well received by the players or not? Pointless to speculate on the impact of all that without having some context.

But to discard someone's voice simply because he or she plays one position or another is utter nonsense.
